This notebook cover was handcrafted by Local and refugee artisans in Malaysia.

The Mengkuang woven piece is a type of South-East Asian screw pine (family Pandanaceae), which is carefully harvested and prepared over a 2 week traditional process. The leaves are dried, dyed, and initially woven into mats before being shaped into these beautiful cover.
